Pioneer CS 77A Speakers

[blurghy]

I have just picked up a pair. Does anyone know anything about them?

They are a 12-inch, 3-way 'infinite baffle' speaker system.
A very good speaker, and some may consider it a more 'natural' system in that it simplifies crossovers.
It doesn't really give up much to the bigger CS-88A (a 5 driver, 4-way system).
The tweeter is a multi-cellular horn. The woofer and mid cones use Pioneer's proprietary 'free beaten' pulp cones.
That's a thick slab of walnut veneer; you can do a bit of sanding if necessary to remove boo-boos.
25-30 years ago you weren't embarrassed to have a pair of 77A speakers in your system.

neat score!
