Pioneer HPM 100B vs Heresy III

I've been down the Pioneer road and the Klipsch road many times and none could hold a candle. If you like dynamic speakers that are easy on the ears I would check these out.

They just do so many things right. These are very easy to listen to speakers plus the dipole design really helps with room reflections.

The AMT is very coherent, tonally accurate, and smooth sounding, better than horn based speaker, electrostatic speakers, and planar speakers, IMHO.

No speaker is perfect, however these are the closest I've ever heard to perfection.
 
Guys, I'm not saying he's not going to buy La Scalas but, if you've paid attention to what he said and the pictures he has posted you're not being very helpful.
Hence his original query about the Heresys.
If he comes back and tells us he's decided to place his speakers elsewhere in his room you can go go nuts on your suggestions,
And he's working with a Marantz 2070- very nice but not gonna power Maggies.
Shoot, I'd recommend a pair of Cornscalas, then. Those would really rock in that space.
Until he does any other suggestion is purely a waste of time
 
@ctjetta, I agree with your comments. Heresy's compared to the HPM-100's and placement of either in the original location as pictured is almost a waste of time. I say this because the appearance and functionality of the cabinets behind them is not a desirable or perfect situation. If he had space on the left side of the room similar to the right side wall maybe placement of any speakers there would be an option.

I would experiment with the placement of the 100's, first placed on stands. How about behind the seating position on both sides of the island shown? How about above the bookshelves, toed in or out, closer or farther from the back wall, and so on. Thinking about dropping $3K plus on speakers without trying what you have in different positions seems a bit silly to me. After experimenting some to determine what works best where, then look at your options, height, width, and size. At that point determine what speakers may work, new, vintage, or custom. Heck, what do I know? :dunno:
