Pioneer PL-55x

I found a 55x with an accessory im not familar with. It seems to have a cleaning arm on the left side.
Cant seem to find another model similar, even one labled 55x.

Any information on this would be helpful.

There have been many aftermarket things like that to dust and/or de-static while playing.
