if they will fit i would use film caps in all sizes up to 10 mfd to replace any e cap. you do that, and you wont need to replace that cap ever again

you get to the larger physical size for film caps and they can act as antennas and pick up noise.

put a physically large film cap in a high gain stage and end up with noise/hum.

i personally do not use higher than 2.2uf films after personal experience.

i cant sat that has been a problem at all even on the tuner sections. ive experienced none of those issues.
