Pioneer sx 434

There is a pristine Pioneer Sx 434 for sale near me for $150. My general opinion is this is too much for that receiver. Any thoughts on the value or what is a reasonable offer?

If ebay sold prices are to be believed (which seem insane), that seems like a good "craigslist asking price" starting point.

The market seems to be fairly crazy right now. Service history may be your bargaining leverage.

Depending on what you are after, I would check Barter Town. If you don't really need it, I agree, it's well above my impulse threshold.

Either way, there are much better deals to be had, and 15 WPC would take a bit of planning to make the best of.

I offered $100 and was turned down. Think I will let that one go. Asking $400 for a 737. Granted they look like just taken out of box but still too much in my opinion

I just seen one for $75 and I think that would be much closer to true value see'n it's only a 15 watt per channel receiver.

That’s what I was thinking. I have a set of Polk RTIA3 that I was going to pair with it for our exercise room. Think I will wait and see what happens to it.

That's nuts.
Just sold mine on there for one. 400 for a 737 ?? That's about what a nice, restored one costs. There's one here.

Yeah, those are rated from 20-150 watt and I would imagine the SX-434 would have a hard time supply the power needed.

Well better wait. Besides I have a 1050 that Leesonic is restoring for me. Once I get that I can move my other system to the exercise room. I about got sucked in by a pretty silver face. Lol.

I paid $50 for a working 737 and a DUAL TT, if that's any help.

Sure does. Usually stuff like this never pops up around here. Never really see quality audio items. Usually someone selling Bluetooth tower speakers.
