Pioneer SX-7730 volume stays on even after I turn volume down - HELP

If I turn the volume down on my SX-7730 euro SX-737 it is still there on the right channel. Why? Bad volume pot?

Yup.

ground connection to right channel pot lead could be it too. board connects together pins 30 & 31 at the pot so it would have to be the solder joint from the board.
it can take mechanical knocks that could upset the connection.... worth checking before pulling pot.
