Pioneer Sx780 not working AC power problems.

Just for clarification, in the SX-980 the resistor to be replaced with a potentiometer would be R8, 470KΩ. In the SX-780 the resistor to be replaced would be R319, a 1MΩ.

This receiver have some kind of rusty inside, after that main problem is fixed, I'm gonna treat the cosmetic.

Monday I ll have the trimpod on that board.

It's done, 1M in the R8.

I started with 1 M and I'm going down.

No lucky so far, but I'm trying.

I tried all the ranges.
1m to 100.
And the click did not stopped.
There's no way out from this, I'm gonna give up.

The x50 series (550, 650, 750, 850, 950, 1050, 1250) use a completely different type of protect circuitry - no chip, all hardwired.
Chances are this won't give you a lick of trouble.
The x80 series uses that PA3004 chip, so you should avoid that series.

So, i moved outfrom my old apartment and the first thing i did on the new one, was hooked up my Sx980.
And it worked perfectly.
Not a single flaw, using for straight hours, i guess the only bad thing was the quality of power in my old place.
It's been one month and so far, not even a single click.
Its solved.
