PL-550 ...on the bench...

I like the lighter color contrasted with silver hardware - nice. I was using a 2M Blue before upgrading to a 2M Bronze in my 518. Both are stellar performers on my Pioneer to my ears.

Thanks, I am using a Shure M95ED on my 518, sounds awesome.

I found a AT15S among my stock carts, took this off of another TT before I sold it.

Should work nicely.

Thanks,
John.:music::D

Turned out great, John! When looking for a dustcover I believe you could widen your search to include the PL-51 and the others in that family. They're the same size and have the hinge mounts in the same places. The difference is that they're smoked. I think that would look great against the light wood grain vinyl.

Hi, I got a dust cover from a PL-A35 coming, it is almost the same size. I remembered what you said and bought it.

Thanks,

John, BEAUTIFUL job! I have an old realistic that I need to re-do the veneer on. I have 2 questions I hope you can help with:

1. Where did you find that nice looking light veneer?
2. Where did you learn to get to apply it so perfectly?

I am amazed at how it looks like the edges and corners are wrapped with no cuts, and have NO IDEA how to do that. After seeing your expert work, I was inspired, and searched the web for good instructions, but did not find any.

Any tips would be appreciated!!

Hi,

Thanks, I used Vinyl covering, that is why there are no cuts seen. I got the vinyl from Parts Express, It was a final closeout.

Thanks,
