Hey all!
I was wondering if anyone has used plyometric boxes as speaker stands for older floor standing speakers. They are only $30-40 per box. 13x13x6
My idea would be to drill some strategic holes, probably bottom four corners, use those holes to fill the frame with unscented kitty litter. Once that’s done repurpose those holes to add spikes and decouplers, or repatch the holes and use rubber feet.
The top of the box is made of rubber, hopefully it would absorb vibration, but if it doesn’t I’m sure replacing it with something more inert wouldn’t be difficult.
I’ve seen colors from white, red, and black, but I’m sure painting these wouldn’t be hard at all.
