However... My trusty Akai AP-006 survived them all and is still running around...

Thanks Redboy. For some reason idler drive TT's don't 'do it' for me. I've heard some of the totally revised Garrard 401's and Lenco L75's and... well, I don't know but... Nothing to pin down, I just don't 'feel' it. So I sold the Lenco to a collector who was pretty happy with it, especially since it had the original dustcover. I have to say: build quality is bombproof, considering the Lenco is over 50 years old!

My stripped down Yamaha GT-750. I stripped off the old cheap paper veneer in preparation for a new better quality finish. Will probably chose the original color of Ebony, however may decide to introduce a slight hint of brown in it as I don't want to deviate too far from stock.

Here's my Technics SL-10 & Yamaha YP-D6. Both are in flawless condition, not a single scratch or ding on either of them.

The Technics has the 310MC, LOMC cartridge which sounds super refined. The YP-D6 alternates between and AT120e and a Grado F1+ with original stylus.

With the Grado on it sounds spectacular. This particular Yamaha is so under rated and so often overlooked for its wood finish brother and sisters.

ateal, that is one fine lookin yamaha TT you got their. the tan looks fine but Im sure any coler would look fine.
I think it's the simplicity of it that's appealing. The tonearm is killer too.
Just what did somthin like that set you back? If you dont mind my asking.

@Ateal: The Yamaha 750, I love it. Even in this way it's....different but looks great.

With your turntables in front of your speaker, do you notice any interfearence(?) ?

Ferninando, thanks, the tan finish is the base particle board after I stripped off the old fake vinyl veneer. I thought I would use it like that until I can make my mind on which wood veneer and color it will get. :scratch2:

As for the price I just sent you a PM (not sure if it is OK to discuss pricing in this section?).

R-Know, thanks for the comments. As for any interference I only ever have one turntable up there playing at a time and have not encountered anything noticeable. However I am not sure what I should be hearing if there was any interference. :D

My Dual 1226 with Empire 2000E-II cart in perfect condition.
I picked this up locally from a craiglist ad for <$200 US complete in the plinth.

Works flawlessly.

Beautiful TT!!

Regarding your Dynavector cart.........

I have been using the Ortofon 2M Red, with pretty good results....Really like the lack of surface noise with this cart.

I have heard really good things about the 10x5, especially in regard to the imaging it provides.

While I enjoy the lack of surface noise from my current Ortofon, I am told from those with higher-end carts that it lacks imaging.....with it being the best one I have owned, I have no point of reference, other than reviews raving about the great imaging provided by more costly cartridges, including (especially) your Dynavector.

How is it with surface noise??

Inner-groove distortion??

Any insights you could share regarding this particular cart would be much appreciated.

I have also been considering the ClearAudio Concept V2MM cart.....I have read that "to have a better cart, one would have to spend over $600, and even then, it would be quite subjective."

Are you familiar with it?

Can you offer any first-hand comparative info??
