Post a picture of your turntable

Have not even opened this. Waiting for the basement to be finished before cracking the seal.

Those Miracords any good?

I refurbished a Miracord (mostly it just needed cleaning and polishing) for my dad a few months ago. I didn't get to listen to it much, but it was an amazing piece of equipment. I could not believe how good the condition was, and for how complex it looked inside, and being a changer, nothing was off on it. It didn't sound up there with the best, but it definitely had its own charm. I would love to own one myself to go in my vintage tube system. It was one of the nicest looking TTs I've ever seen.

I was just in a second hand store that had one very similar (the metal was painted a gray, military looking shade instead of black, I think it was older). Same plinth and dustcover. They only wanted $20 but I passed because I don't do changers.

My ELAC Miracord 40A (PzKT-40a: Panzerkampftable 40a).

You oughta go back. Changers are cool, when they're good, and the Miracord is GOOD (maybe the best of the changers), and in single mode it's a solid performer.

This is an interesting thread. It's good to see so many vintage machines so lovingly restored.

BTW, my PL-570 will be painted "ebony", aka glossy black.

The Technics SP15 has a SAEC 308L arm with an Entre 1 cartridge on the right, Micro Seiki MA 505 S with Denon 103R at the back, and Audio Technica AT 1100 with Supex 900 Super on the left, but I have recently installed a Technics 205 mk3 on it instead.
On the Denon DP80, there are a Grace 747 tonearm with Denon 304 cartridge and an Audiocraft AC3000 Silver Limited with AT33 ANV.

That table on the other poster's plinth.

I do "need" something that will play 78s. I was also a bit nervous if a modern cartridge would mount into that headshell. What do you have on yours?

BTW, I love the bottlecap feet.
