Oh wow an AMF Harley!

Hey now...

I had a '76 FX for a few years. That bike got a lot of compliments. FXR was a much better bike all the way around.

I have very few bike or car pics. No idea why. Just never took any photos. I'm a pretty horrible photographer.

Oh wow an AMF Harley!

Yep, it must have been a good one as I never had any problems with it, even while doing a 11.5K mile trip across Canada during the summer of '76. That trip dispelled all of the AMF horror stories for me that I had been hearing about. In fact, I liked the bike so much I chopped it that winter and still own it today although it is currently in pieces and hasn't been ridden for many years.

Here's the first version in '77 of many anual builds.

Those AMF Harley's are a rare horse, far cooler in my book than the common Sportsters or 'glides.

New here, and pleased to see a little bike interest.
Currently riding (or is it driving) a Ural. The one wheel drive version. Heavy, slow, and wierd. The bike also.

And I love that bike, sure it may be "heavy, slow, and weird" but I expect that with a sidecar, and I'd enjoy every minute of riding (driving?) it

It is a fun machine. The opposite of a chick magnet; older guys are crazy about it.
My previous bike was a Harley with deliberately loud pipes. It was wrecking my hearing, not a good thing for someone interested in audio.

My current ride is a nearly vintage BMW K1200RS. I had one just like it for about 4 months, 20 years ago and thought I'm about 15 years too young for this bike (I was 35 at the time.) when one popped up on Marketplace a couple years ago and I was looking for better accommodations for my partner than the R1100S I had at the time, I couldn't resist.

Here's mine. 2021 Moto Guzzi V85TT. It was the owner of the shops bike. Came with cruise control, ABS, driving lights, better wind screen, heated grips and side and top cases. I added a center stand. Have to use the peg to get on and off but man is it comfortable on the road

1977 Yamaha XS400 completely torn down and turned into a cafe racer style bike.
