It seems there are lots of vintage threads but not a whole lot of modern ones so I thought this would be a good place to share your personal or favourite amps from 2010 and on.

Here is my new amp which is a real beauty! By far the best amp I've ever owned with quality craftsmanship and a warm, rich detailed sound with an enveloping sound stage.

It's a Magnat RV3.

It's a tube pre amp and solid state main amp, the best of both worlds :)

The heart and control center of the RV 3 lies in the audiophile tube preamplifier, which amplifies the incoming signals directly after the input stage. Fans of vinyl will be delighted by the elaborate phono section with its separate inputs for moving magnet (MM) and moving coil (MC) pickups.

Well in my case it's because mine is a hybrid with a tube pre amp stage and a SS main amp.

What's wrong with that?

I'm happy for any amp to be posted regardless to be honest. Move it to the general section if it's an issue.
 
Well technically my main amp is not 2010 or newer, but it is kind of modern.

Musical Fidelity NuVista M3. Oh and it does have tubes in the pre-amp stage

VTA ST-70 tube amplifier kit. All tube phono preamp and hybrid headphone amp. The headphone amp has a tube front end and SS single ended output. All my SS amps are vintage.

Nice! It's such a shame the general public has no idea these exist and can make their music listening so much more pleasurable :)

On the other hand, the general public is spared the knowledge of how subpar their listening experience is, and how much better it could be if they had limitless funds. :-) I'm giving serious thought to retiring my entire stereo system because it's not good enough, and I can't afford to make it any better anytime soon. I'd much rather have silence.
 
never seen these before I acquired them. I own a pair of them each of which is bridged to mono. Pure class A amps

It's quite well built, not quite the level of mid-seventies amps but not far....it's quite heavy as well for its power output, 12kg for 70 WPC.
It's all discreet components except for the "logic" PCB that controls the relays switching inputs and functions.
 
The typeface on the Magnat logo on that RV3 doesn't seem classy enough for it, looks more like something you'd type a restaurant logo with to me :) Damn fine looking piece of kit otherwise.
 
I hope you realise that's how they come from the factory.....the sleeve on all these caps is cut neatly like that, don't know why, surely manufacturing is easier like that :dunno:
The amp gets just warm, has plenty of ventilation and has not seen that much use.
