I don't know what state you are referring to but the Adirondack Park is about the size of Vermont.

Some photos from last Saturday early evening from the Theosophical Society in Wheaton, IL grounds which is classified as an arboretum. From things we step on, like the chicory flower to the outdoor library.

I'd heard there were bobcats living behind my condo development just outside Burlington, VT but had never seen one until a couple of days ago. I can't believe how unfazed this one was as I approached with my Nikon D800 + 80-200mm F/2.8 ED. The same one was back yesterday and I got within 15 feet of him but the photo isn't as interesting because the background is just grass. This one is "the shot."

After a week hiking and kayaking in the Adirondacks, we decided to do a leisure hike in Robert H. Treman State Park in the Finger Lakes Region of NY. This is the Old Mill Falls, a 22 foot cascade located behind the historic 1847 Enfield Glen Falls Grist Mill at the entrance to the Park.

After a fish fry lunch at Flaherty's in Honeoye Falls, NY, walked along Honeoye Creek to see the falls. The water was really flowing after the heavy rains in the last week.

I receivedfd my new (to me) Morning Walk Camera this evening. A Lumix DMC-ZS100 compact - 20MP with a nice quality f/2.8 lens. ANd best of all - an EVF. No more staring at the LCD in the sunlight. Nice feel, well built. Just had time to get one pic at sunset to make sure it works.
