Last fall we happened across this sunset on the shore of Lake Biwa, Japan. I took this series of shots with my phone. Some are pretty grainy, but the colors were spectacular.

From August, 2017. Raymond, Wa.
Sun going down over hill.
The smokey atmosphere made this shot possible. The smoke was a product of wild fires happening in Washington State as well as Canada. You could taste and smell the smoke, even though the wild fires were happening hundreds of miles away.
