I was sorta thinking along those lines. Pretty wicked amp, but I'm thinking just a hair overkill for the connected speakers. :scratch2:

The SAE 2200
The only thing showing on the faceplate on the SAE 2200 was two rows of escalating LED lights. I tried other power amps to run a pair of Magnepan but all others were just too bland. I mean I bought a pair of AR power amps mono to each channel to run each speaker but the sound still didn't have emphasis of loud and soft.
After 15 years the SAE went to the landfill because it used huge output capacitors - about the size of an aluminium beer can - and alas they were filled with PCP. The factory only had a few used capacitors for sale and those ran out.
That SAE was the only power amp that could 'color' the rock-n-roll sound the way I liked it.
