Pricing Energy Pro 22's

I am considering the sale of my Energy Pro 22's.
They are in good condition sonically.
Maybe a 7.5/10 cosmetically.
One energy badge is missing and the fabric is worn.

Any ideas what they are worth?

Has the tweeters been repaired? It's hard to put a value because of the tweeter issue. Maybe $100? That might be low but, again the tweeters are known to fail and I don't think anyone is repairing them anymore.

These are fairly scarce.
I bought a pair from the original owner in 9/10 condition, original Energy stands, all paper work with one blown tweeter fro $75.

I seen a pair being advertised at CL fro 4 months now for $300 with no stands and one blown tweeter.

I would post for $150 and be open fro offers.

Its rare to find them fully operational, these are.
I am being very careful with them to avoid blowing the tweeters, i have been told the ferro-fluid may be dried up and cause failure.
I have been told a guy in New Brunswick rebuilds the tweeters for $360 a pair.

With original tweeters, I'd walk away unless they were really cheap. Reference Connoisseurs ("Ref Conns") are economically worthwhile for restoration (they had much finer cabinets, etc) but restoring Pro 22's makes no economic sense. And sooner or later those tweeters will die, no matter how much you baby them.

Of course, economic sense is pretty meaningless if you really like the Pro 22's. But be warned, the tweeter rebuild will change the character of the speakers, however subtly.

I have been told a guy in New Brunswick rebuilds the tweeters for $360 a pair.

He's in Halifax, Nova Scotia (no affiliation). ABI Technical Service.

they ok speakers, not my top of the pile.
i was considering refilling the fluid with a kit from PE.
otherwise they will move along

These have been hitting pretty high prices up north here, where audiophile vintage speakers are harder to find, especially in my area. I have seen working originals go for close to $300. I would price the pair I have at around $225.

I have ref conns, paid 375 with a dead tweeter. Abi is no longer so rebuilds aren't available. Found a rebuilt tweeter for 80 so I have just under 500 invested.

They are a great sounding speaker if all is well, nice looking too.

In Canada, where they are loved, $300 seems to be top dollar unless they are really something. In the States, subtract a hundred.
