Just heard this, found dead at his home studio I believe. I was not a huge fan but was undeniably very talented.
He had been having some health problems as of late.
RIP Prince Rogers Nelson.

Wow! Just Wow! Another one of the greats bites the dust, and at just a year older than me. Remember seeing his first performance on Band Stand back in the late 70s. Small physical stature, huge talent! R.I.P.

I never followed his later stuff but always liked Purple Rain. Taken from this Earth way to soon.

Brutal loss. He was 7 years older so I was able to watch nearly all of his career in real time. A fantastic talent.

RIP Prince

He was exactly 11 years to the day older than me. An eccentric one for sure, but he
was very talented.

RIP Prince

As others have noted, even if you weren't a fan of his music, you had to respect the large and diverse talent. It's been quite a year so far, hasn't it?

I will be playing him today. A prodigy being able to play 25 or 26 instruments. Recorded my favorite slow dance song, Damn you. A real panty melter. Fixing to play it now. Also heard he could not read nor write music. But then neither could Hendrix.

I wonder what will happen to all the recordings (audio and video) he had in his vault at Paisley Park?

Interesting. None of the newscasts has mentioned anything about surviving relatives or an estate. I wonder who will manage what is undoubtedly a huge archive.
