QRX-7500 Estate Sale Find

You have just acquired the very first serious hifi stereo unit I ever had. And to this day I think its industrial design is hard to match. When that faceplate is lit up the show is mesmerizing. Silly young me at the time sold it when more advanced quad formats began to appear. I envy you. Hope your project works out well.

I might connect speakers to the front and back connections, but I don't have any quad format records or a player.
The value of a Sansui quad receiver or amp today is not really in the ability to play quad encoded source material (QS, SQ, CD-4, which are not that common and can be expensive). The value is in taking stereo material and "synthesizing" quad output. So, use whatever stereo source you want (radio, CD, etc.) and with speakers connected to front and rear outputs set the Function knob to QS Synthesizer "Surround" and listen. I think you'll be amazed at what you hear.

Which input should I use? So far, I have tested the unit with a Bluetooth adapter going into the 2 channel tape input. I set it to Aux and get great sound. It also plays if I change the selecter to AM/FM/Phono. There is no 2 channel AUX input on the back. Should I expect any of the 4 channel inputs to work?

All of the AUX inputs function as 2 or 4 channel inputs. For two channel sources, just use the jacks labeled "Front". If you have a 4 channel source, then you connect the inputs to the Front and Rear input jacks on the 7500. The same is true of the 4 channel Tape inputs. They can be used as 2 or 4 channel inputs.

I'd suggest getting the Owner's Manual, which is available on HiFiEngine. The 7500 has many features/inputs and can be confusing to use at first glance, but the manual explains how to use it.

I have it hooked up to 4 speakers, but I don't have them arranged like the owner's manual recommends. It sounds great, but I won't get the bubble of sounds without speakers placed behind me. The speakers connected to the front input are Wharfedale W60s (no letter after) and KLH 6s connected to the back.
