Howdy,wksmith27......congrats on a nice find......Those phones...(I looked 'em up) are almost certainly a Koss product, rebranded for RS......I've found MANY RS H/P's, at garage sales/resale shops.......Most are Koss products, and they almost always work.........
Bested only by MUCH more expensive imported products, Koss rules...as an American based company, even if much of their manufacture (especially for RS) was offshore......
I got two other "thangs" for ya'....how about some PIX......and where in Texas are ya'.......
I'm in Houston, how about your general area ....no address, no zipcode, just N/S/E/W....posting your general location can have positive benefits.....for future good deal reference..................see ya'...........willhowl:thmbsp:

No headamp
I'm not using a headamp just using the phone plug on my Technics SA-936 Receiver.I'm fairly new to this.Would a headamp improve the sound?I listen to a wide variety of music from U2 to Willie Nelson.

Howdy, again, wksmith27......Yes, I know Stephenville......my paternal grandparents are buried there....They lived on Star Route, right across from the DeKalb.(I think) hatchery......
I went up there many times as a sprout, my grandad taught me to shoot squirrels somewhere up there.... I did not like killing, but, hey, It's a ritual in Texas (and elsewhere, I guess)
I loved the baby chicks, and and also the pool there in town.....
Then, of course, in recent years, S-ville has become kinda famous as a hotbed of UFO activity.....oh yeah, Tarleton College...........Oh, man I'm WAY off topic on this.....see what happens when you reveal your Fortress Of Solitude????
Anyway, I think that your Technics will drive those 'phones just fine....and they look good.......an upper-line model for sure...........Take care, and stick around.....lotsa good stuff goin' on here..............willhowl:yes:

Well, she's got a country twang, but I wouldn't call it country and western. She lives in Denton, and is part of the Denton Crowd, so that might tell you something (for those who don't know, because of the music department at UNT, Denton is the true "new-music" capitol of Texas... Austin is where all the bar gigs are).

I bought some Realistic LV-10 phones in the '70s for about $39.95. They were amazing. I was young and impressionable. If I could find them, I would investigate their status.I picked up a pair of Realistic Pro II A Headphones at an estate sale for $5.They seem like a nice pair they have real good sound to them,I saw in the Radio Shack Catalog from 1981 went for $49.95.I'm really impressed with them.
PS: I see you have a JVC TD-W709 dual cassette deck in your signature. I just put mine back into rotation. It's sounding great with Herb Albert through my Senn. HD-650.
