(not mine, etc) I hava a -2100 - they have analog power meters. Truly sweet receiver, toroidal power transformers that Pioneer sued and had removed from the later models for patent infringement. Foster built a great machine in the -2100.

That's very interesting regarding Pioneer suing Realistic. Do you have more information. Did Pioneer also go after Concept? The 2100 and the Concept 11.0 were reputedly built on the same line and the amp sections have a lot in common.

i have one and i really like it!

When I was browsing and found the STA-2100 available, I searched AK and found lots of info - Susurus has a bit of info in this thread... http://www.audiokarma.org/forums/archive/index.php/t-125713.html - the manufacturer is confirmed by my outstanding tech in Seattle - made by Foster, and Foster was sued by Pioneer because Pioneer had a patent on the toroidal design. The -2100D was the result of the change. My -2100 is sweet, mated to a pair of first-generation Mach Ones! I A/B it with Yamaha NS-670's, and can also feed the signal to a Sansui 7070 with a pair of Dynaco A-25's. That's a fun wall to listen to - it can play any kind of music you want. Here are the -2100 and -Ones at the start of this collection http://www.audiokarma.org/forums/showthread.php?p=1612555#post1612555

If the Concept 11.0 is the same line - it's a great beast - Foster made good gear in those days.

Very interesting. The 2100 with toroid cam first and the 2100D with conventional tranny came second. For the Concepts, the 11.0 with conventional tranny came first and then the 12.0D with toroid followed. All share the same dual heat sinks and driver boards (I'm sure with detail differences) and all are rated 110-120 wpc.
