Realistic T-200

Realistic T-200 speakers. Any opinions on them?

The T-200 is considered one of Radio Shack's best, but I put it behind the T-300, T-120 and even the T-70 with it's Seas tweeter. I'd like to get my hands on a pair and rebuild them with a dome tweeter, real crossover and adding an inductor to the lower woofer making them a 3.5-way. Early models suffered from melting L-pads. This happened with our demo pair in the store. Placing the crossover in FRONT of the L-pad would likely have avoided the problem.
