Just the opposite. DQ10's use the OLA woofer, which has no issues down to 40hz's; at least on the OLA application.

I also have to say that with a good amp they tend to go plenty low. I found the sub just added something tactile to the experience.

Exactly Eric. The low bass is there, just looking for a little impact for R&R as long as it's tight and well behaved. I'm working on finding the right amp as well. I've never owned or really cared for bass centric speakers. Besides my NHT's SuperTwos, I have B&O M70's and Allison AL110's all polite, detailed and well-rounded. Much like myself
