It's been a while, but I recall measuring f3 on my DQ-10s at around 60Hz. The woofers in the DQ-10 are in 12" baskets, reduced to 10" with a masonite reducing ring. It could be that the enclosure, which is a bit on the small side, might be too small for a 10" woofer. I have wondered if replacing the woofers with a high quality 8" woofer might let the DQ-10s go down another 10 or 20 cycles deeper, and put them in better balance--at least in a not overlarge room. Any thoughts on that?
As it is, I do use a bi-amped custom sub.
