They clip across the 300 ohm input screws on a TV or radio/tuner with the flat lead wired up.
For quick connects in testing is where I have used them.

I remember them well, but of course I am 84 years old. The quick way to attach the antenna for your TV or FM receiver.

Those were used by some to hook up speakers if the cabinets had screw type speaker terminals. Easy on....easy off.
