I have a Sansui 771 receiver that has zeners on the driver board which are RD-8.2e (B) in the manual. Can anyone recommend a suitable replacement?

Thank you!!

quick google came up with BZX79C8V2 8.2V, 0.5W Zener Diode ..
dont take this as gospel ..i been drinking again

hey-Hey!!!,
The BZX55-series zeners appear to be slightly better diodes. Less leakage, sharper knee, and lower impedance once regulating. Same form factor and ratings otherwise though. All this after a rather exhaustive search for a gate protector for MOSFET current regulators...:)
cheers,
Douglas

The previous suggested zeners fall a little outside the max Vz of the original. This may or may not be a problem so I'd suggest a BZX55 or BZX79 -B8V2. These are 2% tolerance and are within the min/max Vz tolerance of the original.
