While I still see no ads, but this morning there are big blank gaps of space between posts where ads would be inserted, but apparently are being blocked by my EDGE browser`s aggressive privacy settings and going through the browser`s optional InPrivate internet page path.
I`m getting tired of having to occasionally having to refresh the page multiple times that I`m on, to perform even simple functions like to a like respond to a post due to apparently the sites very, very bug laden software issues !
Like spark1 posted ^^^, it might be a good idea for me to also take a break from A/K for a few days, or even weeks, while hopefully it`s very annoying site issues are being sorted out !
Thankfully there`s many ad free hours of YT videos for me to enjoy, thanks to my use of DuckDuckGo`s browser specifically only for that site, while A/K eventually hopefully becomes user friendly again.

if you have u-block installed, right click on the blank space, you will get a promt to create element. create it and the blank spaces will be gone.
alot of this appears to be java related.

In the last few days, even though I am signed in, I am seeing ads blocking portions of my page. I am also unable to "go back" without having to click multiple times because of a pop up ad that appears.

From a casual observer, it seems since the latest server update with the addition of this Cloudflare thing, the site has gotten so much worse for many many members. Hopefully this didn't cost much money to do or I'd be looking for a refund if it promised one thing and produced something entirely different.

When I first discovered AK, I needed some information and AK kept popping up in my searches. I finally checked out the site and found the information I needed, then I continued to check out the site and found out what a great community it actually was, but if I clicked on the site and saw nothing but ads, I would have walked immediately and would have never looked back. I refuse to watch commercials on t.v., that's why I never finish watching something, I just keep changing the channels.
Do you use an ad blocker? In effect, it's the same as muting a commercial.

i've got adblocker so the ads don't bother me but what does bother me is replies not going thru and having to be retyped(yeah, you got me once now it's just wasting my time)

I don't see any ads at all, my IPad is way too old, I can only use AK with JavaScript turned off, I'm just talking about everyone else who are getting hammered with ads and are actually walking away from AK because of it all.
Good evening all. I have been on vacation since Sunday and enjoyed the time away. I popped in here today to see if any progress has been made and saddened to read the comments in this thread. I truly hope that the folks in charge can resolve most of the issues that have stricken our wonderful forum for a fair amount of time now. For now I'm going on vacation, but looking forward to my return. Be safe and enjoy life, its to short!

A thank you goes out to all that have been working hard to repair any problems as they arrise and hopefully any lingering one will be resolved soon.

A friend, co-worker, SO, gets a case of hiccups and we just walk away?
Try some of the suggested ad blockers.
With an ever-growing bunch of jerks that have nothing better to do than trying to mess up somebody else's life, it's no wonder AK has problems from time to time.
My AK experience has been just fine after a few days of inconvenience.
