Yep have the remote and the speed control, too. I preferred Scotch timing tape leader unless I wanted auto shut off. Then I would use a little Ampex professional head cleaner to remove about 3 inches of oxide from standard tape. back coated, well yes I had to use clear or red tinted leader tape from BASF. Revox was a bit pricey. When I made sound effects tapes for college stage productions I used my A-77 instead of the schools professional decks because of the auto stop feature. Remove the oxide in the appropriate places and the machine was almost up for the next cue. No hassles, it was almost to easy. I used 3 and 3/4 for most of the time as it took the Revox to long to come up to speed with the small capstan at 7 1/2 ips. B-77 weren't even thought of yet with big capstans for the HS versions. If AG-500's or PR-10's were available, then the Ampexs had the best start up time. They also had constant take-up and feed tensions by using eddy-current clutches. Something new and novel for sure.
