Ringo explains his drumming

I thought this was interesting:

He was sometimes late in his timing - on purpose and to great effect. And he's a lefty!

I love Ringo, but he didn't have to start all his breaks with his left hand. A drummer should be able to start on either. But he was just talking about what he was comfortable with. And drummers don't necessarily play a break in a clockwise direction, although I think I know what he's talking about - a certain kind of cliche break that drummers do going around the drums.

And the "Ticket To Ride" pattern was just a feel thing, which he created, and it was great and perfect for the song.
