RIP Alan Vega of Suicide

[SA-708]

One of my musical heroes has passed away.

Just saw a report that Steven Young of Colourbox and M/A/R/R/S also passed away this week. Crap.

I find these deaths so hard to take, because I feel like I know these musicians and songwriters so well through the music that has been part of my life for decades.

Suicide was great. No peers (musically) in their community and only now being mentioned (last couple months). Its a shame that talentless hack Kanye gets so much press when there's so much better, more intelligent and groundbreaking music out there.
