Wasn't his real name something almost unpronouncable, 'cause his family was from Transylvania ? Think he said it on "Ripley's" once, brought the "Dracula" connection in,& of course was smiling that evil smile... Always thought his daughter Holly was a fox...Helluva shame. RIP, Jack. You were one of the good ones...

I heard it on the radio last night, he was a movie tough guy who was a tough guy in real life. RIP.

Very talented man, with a huge volume of work. I'm glad he received the much deserved Oscar for City Slickers. Much of his work was in low to mid budget 40's and 50's era horror and westerns, films not on par with his enormous talent. I always enjoy watching him in Requiem for a Heavyweight, that was a difficult role. He never seemed to receive the accolades that he deserved, that were reserved for the "handsom leading man". Its a sad day for all, expessialy those in the motion picture industry and all his fans. Todays leading men could never hold a candle to him. CC

I always thought he was a nice lookin' man-LOVED that twinkle in his eye he always seemed to have. He prolly was a lot of fun to be around-remember the comment when he did the push-ups at the Academy awards that he could probably **** bigger than Billy Crystal ?

He made that comment in the movie "City Slickers". I thought he kind of overacted in the movie "Shane", and for me his best work was as the sergeant in the movie "Attack".

Yes, R.I.P. scary man Jack Palance.
