We touched bases on this before I believe but . . .

In the 60's we would eat at Russell's after visiting Maywood Kiddieland and stop off at the Olson Rug Waterfall at Diversey & Crawford in Chicago on the way home.

They leveled the park in '78 . . . and it became a Paved Paradise

i remember hoping with all my 8 year old heart that my dad would pull us over to one of those for a night's stay; i think it happened at least once, in the long ago of two lane blacktops and Burma shave signs
