Does anyone have information on these? I believe they are called RtR 1200DR's - I love these speakers-. Pre BIC RtR's are very good - I had some 280 DR's that were impressive but these are even better.
Matched walnut.

Wow, I have no idea how many of those were made, but couldn’t have been many. They have the square panels as opposed to the rectangular panels in the ESR-15, but should sound similar on the top end. The down firing woofer looks like the one out of the RTR subwoofer. It looks bigger then the one in the 280DR to me. (Could just be the picture, but it looks pretty large to me)

I would love to find a pair of those. They were rather expensive when new and I doubt I’ll ever find a pair floating around Kentucky. Do they have bi-amp connections on the back?

Thanks A23g - the down firing woofer has numerous speaker connection points - for changing crossover? The top speaker has one set and I bi-amp them.
The bottom bass cabinet is 19 1/2 " wide so I am guessing the woofer is 15".The speaker grills are in great shape with the round RtR logos - I'll take a picture soon.

Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

without a manual i would have to guess that its a passive sub and you run left and right from amp into sub and then it has a 2 way crossover inside and has terminals to connect the satellites high passed

pull the woofer to verify that and do not take my work on that.

Each top speaker sits on its own woofer - see picture above.
ok, well..i don't see a pair of subs and speakers in your pictures above so maybe if you have 2 of each you run left from amp into one sub and a high passed signal comes out of that for your left speaker and it would be the same connections for the right channel on the other sub and other speaker.:dunno:

The down firing sections are RTR subwoofers that go down to 16 hz +/- 3db. The connections on it are to feed the subs from your amplifier, and send the signal off to the satellite speakers, or the case of this application to another part of the speaker.
You would use the left in and out for one side and right in and out for the other. Route the out up to the upper tower section.

The actual woofer section is the three 10 in or 12 inch speakers up in the tower. You might want to play with wiring power through the sub, and then using one of the satellite outputs to feed the tower if you want to use the subs internal crossover.

Is the sub getting power when you use the binding posts up on the tower?

I wish I had more information on this model, but its not something you’re ever likely to see again.

If I recall the model correctly the subs are the bases of the towers, and hde is just showing one of the pair.
