SA-2001

I have a sa-2001 amp. the schematic is fuzzy. I need a clear copy. Does anyone know how to set the bias and dc offset on this amp? I also need a list of transistor subs please if anyone has them. thanks.

I probably am looking at the same manual as you are. The manual mentions how to adjust idle current, but no mention of output offset, so I presume there is no offset adjustment. For the idle current it says:

Adjust VR601 a,b for 5 - 14 mV across R625 a,b.

Any particular transistor you are trying to sub?

They had to have someway of setting the offset. Otherwise it would have had the potential to blow up a lot of speakers. Maybe they used a scope and adjusted it that way. I have no ideas. I am going to measure it the trial and error method. I am going to look at other schematics and see if I can get enlightened. If it works I will let you know. thanks

Many amplifiers are designed/built without an output offset adjustment. As long as the input long tailed pair are reasonably well matched, a low offset is designed in.
