Anyone have the schematic from the Sansui 5000A showing where the bulb is soldered for the FM/AM dial pointer.

Ron, the best I can due is from my SM of a 5000X. It's just a page from the SM. You'll need to remove that top plate that covers the dial/bulb housing. It has 3 screws. You'll also need to open up the clip that holds the indicator wires. I'm guessing you want to replace the pointer bulb. I did it on my 5000X not hard, but that pointer can become very fragile over time, so be very careful. Once you have the cover off it's very easy to trace the two wires to check for voltage or to de-solder for replacement.

Thanks for your response.
The problem is that I removed the plate to replace the bulbs but pulled the wire and it broke at the solder point. I need to resolder the wire but don't see where the wire broke off.

I hope this shot of the schematic of the 5000X helps. One lead is soldered to the socket ground of one of the 6.3V bulbs (2nd from the left, but doesn't matter). The other to a small (square?)resistor off of the speaker selector switch I believe.
