I had two really nice 881s and really liked how they sounded. What I did not like was the design of the light box behind the tuner dial. Both of mine and 3 other 771s friends had all had warped boxes that caused the circuit to short and the lamps to flicker. I also did not care for the feel of the controls. I sold them a few years ago and did not have a Sansui til i bought a G5700 a few months ago. The feel and quality seem better to me on the G series. As for the sound, I liked both but like the 5700 a lot more for all around sound, looks and quality.
