If you ever find a source for these clips please be sure to share that information with us. I have been looking for the same thing for one of my SR-929 tables for about 4 years without success. I have only seen them on various turntables for sale. I would consider buying a non-working table for that part alone and to keep the rest of the TT for use as a spare parts donor so my two SR-929's will remain alive and working. Unfortunately the last few non-working units on the auction site were missing those clips and string or I would have bought one already.
You can substitute for it with thin monofiliament fishing line tied around both posts but you have to be very careful to get the lenth right when tying off the second end. I know this because that's the way mine is set up and it works great.
