Sansui AU-517 and Project TurnTable humming noise

Devices: Sansui AU-517 with Project TurnTable
As i'm getting ready to play my vinyls, i hear an annoying humming sound coming out of the speakers. The ground wire is definitely connected. I even cleaned the place w/ WD40 where ground wire plugs/ties into.
The sound went away for sometime and it came back. I recently had to get some parts replaced inside the Sansui and it seems like the sound came back after that.

U guys are the expert...any suggestion to get rid of the humming noise?

I just had an issue of hum with a new Kenwood KP-7010 i just picked up. Check continuity between the ground spade and the chassis of the turntable. In my case, I just needed to crimp on a new spade after clipping a little of the wire where there must've been a break in the wire.

My turntable isn't old..so what could possible be wrong w/ the ground cable?
 
Does it hum with other sources selected or only the phono input? Which Project turntable? What work was done to the 517?

It does NOT hum when CD is selected...the humming noise comes only with Turntable. I am using the debut model Project. I had to get some repair work done some cold solder joints fix and protection circuit needed replacing. The grounded cable's tail end (the U shape area) is NOT as wide as the place it is being connected to... could that cause the humming?
 
The ground cable connection size is highly unlikely to be the problem. Is the hum worse if you disconnect the turntable ground cable? Do that with the volume down, please! With any luck and if the hum gets worse, we could maybe assume the ground cable is OK, and the hum is elsewhere. I think you need to rule out the turntable ground being the problem as the first step, though. Fingers crossed for easy fix.

Does the hum get worse or stay the same when you detach the ground cable from the amp? Tromatic asked this above but you didn't answer.

Try moving the table farther away from the amp, could possibly be picking up the tranny's magnetic field.

My Well Tempered Lab was exhibiting a bit of hum, tried moving the cables etc, nothing seemed to help.

The table sits about 2' above my Belles amp in the room, turned off the Belles and switched over to another amp about 5' away, issue resolved.

The hum isn't loud enough to be an issue when the music is playing, just wanted to know the cause, once located I didn't even bother moving the amp or table.

Image# R1 is the full unit from back and the green arrow on the device is the Sansui AU 517. All the way on the top is my Project Turntable.

According to a friend's instruction, I used WD40 to clean the grounding station as well as the plugs, but the humming zzzzzzzz noise is NOT going away.

Still trying to rule out the ground. Does it hum when connected to Phono 2? Does it hum with the TT and ground disonnected?

I tried Phono 1 and 2 just to make sure earlier, but result is same. I also cleaned up the plug points, and grounding spot, but the zzzzzzz noise is prominent. I've attached the images also.

You've still not told us if the hum gets worse when you unplug just the ground from the amplifier.

So to be clear, with the turntable RCAs plugged into Phono 1, the amplifier turned on and set to Phono 1, and the ground spade secured to the ground lug of the amp, take note of the volume of the hum. Now, please disconnect just the ground spade from the amplifier. Does the hum get louder or stay exactly the same?
