Sansui au-666 lettering

Any recommendations to repair rubbed off lettering on an AU-666 or other Sansui gear?

My AU-666 numbering around the volume has rubbed off but I can still see the outline of the font (number) outline.

Thank you

If you upload a pic it will give us a better idea of how bad it is.

The reality is though, that it's not an easy fix. you could perhaps use the outline by taking a pic and creatively fabricating a stencil to redo the lettering. There may be other options, but it is hard to do properly. All of this is not easy and you have to be very keen. You may want to live with it, or keep an eye out for an AU-666 faceplate for sale if it really bothers you. Great amp btw.

I used hobby car paint with a cotton bud the paint goes into the grooves and then you can use a tooth pick to carefully remove around the edges of the letters came up a treat and you would never know!
