The actual term was "overhaul."
Which in the case of this amp I believe meant cleaning all of all components, switches, knobs, repairing cracked solder, circuit board, adjusting bias according to manual specs.

On first listen, this is a very soft and sweet amp. You're right the highs are a little soft. But plenty of punch and in low and midrange. I'm listening flat currently but gradually experimenting with EQ. I'm sure I'll find the sweet spot after dialing the room and speaker placement.
I'm currently playing from my laptop into RCA right now but I'm very excited to listen to some records on it.

I'm sure it sounds good with those speakers. JBL & Sansui have a history together.

Great translation @bolero! Really clarifies what was done. Sounds like @rittmaster 's new D907F is good to go. I'm sure it is.
In fact, I think I can safely say that @rjb5191 is not a recapper-for-no-reason type. He didn't recap my D907X before I bought it from him. Everything was in spec and he focused on the adjustments as noted in that translation. It's excellent and I think op's will be too.

These are bottles of shochu!!!! I work in a sake/shochu shop. Shochu is Japanese booze’s best kept secret. I’ll talk your ear off about it in DM sometime haha.

Just a little progress update.
I decided to go ahead to set up in the room with the large built-in and… holy smokes does it sound good in here.
Lots of speaker placement experimenting to do, and a rug is on the way, but… I don’t know if it’s listening to the new speakers or the new amp, or the beautiful synergy between the two, but I’m getting chills from the music I’m playing.
This amp is very musical! I’m getting shimmering highs without sounding overly bright with round and juicy mids. Depending on the recording the bass can be a bit boomy, but I know that’s likely a room issue.
I’ve played a huge variety of music so far to pretty astounding results. Currently enjoying a drink listening to the Mozart clarinet quintet k.581 at low (-55) volume from apple music and am loving the soft and sweet sound of the strings and clarinet.
Earlier today I blasted some of my bigger vinyl rock selections including my OG UK Abbey Road, Sade Promise, Sarah Vaughn, all kinds of stuff.
This amp is dead quiet while delivering power on a dime. I’m still basically just listening to it flat and loving it. It’s making the JBL’s sing like they were made for each other.
I can see this unfolding over a long time and I couldn’t be happier!
