I believe this mid is from a very old Sansui speaker--and I've lost the identifying info that I used to have. Anyone know what model speaker this is from? Is it even Sansui? Help!
While I think I agree because very few speaker makers other than KLH were so unconcerned with cosmetics - there is writing on many of them - I'm not completely on board with the KLH 5 ascription. I haven't looked up KLH 5 mids, but the odd whitish/blackish/whitish outer perimeter reminds me of the Radio Shack mid/tweeters on some of their more ambitious speakers.

I did look up the KLH 5 (and I think the Model 12s and the Model 25s used the same mid), there is one for sale on eBay, and it looks pretty much exactly like what I have here. For now I have it listed as just that, maybe I'll attach a caveat for potential buyers.
Having just redoped four KLH 6 woofers, I realize that the surrounds are much darker when redoped (and a midrange surround might not have been worked as hard as that of a woofer) so I am much less opinionated than I was in my last post.
