Sansui SP-1000

I found a pair of Sansui SP-1000's locally and Im wondering if I should pick them up. I can't seem to find any info on these speakers on line. Would anybody happen to no the specifications of these classic speakers or there value?

I happen to like Sansui sound. I own a very old(42 years)pair of SP-100's with a 10 in. woofer, cone mid and an excellent radial horn tweeter. The tweeter makes the speaker for me. Very clear, not harsh. The 1000's are essentially a larger version of the 100's with a larger woofer, mid and 2 of the same tweeters(t-100's) per box. Sansui's are not big in the bass department, having been tailored for the Japanese market, so it depends on your priorities. Big sound, though.

I like 'em too...

I guess you like Sansuis or you don't like 'em. A pair of SP-2000s were my first vintage thrift find followed later by a pair of SP-2500s. I listen to both pair quite often and really like the sound...a nice example of "kabuki".

I am listining to a pair of sansui sp 3500's now on my main system being pushed with a Bell labs tube amp, very smooth sound and will fill a room nice but they love bigger rooms than i have. Got them 15 years ago for 5 buck for the pair at a yard sale.
I run them on a sansui 5oo a in my avitar but it is at jaymana's waiting on a tune up.
