Sansui SP 1200 and SP 3500

I have my dads Sansui SP 1200 (one pair) and SP 3500 (two pair) speakers. I was wondering what their value would be. Cabinets are in very good condition. No major scratches or dings.

I've picked up all of my Sansuis (1200, 2500, 3500, XP9000s) in the $20-$30 range at garage sales... Some think they are worth more, I don't. If you can get $150 a pair, you are doing good.

I had to put his funeral on a credit card. I need to sell them but don't want to give them away. I have seen prices online for around $400/pr for the 3500's, just wanted to double check with you all.
He purchased them around 1970 while he was on the Kwajalein Atoll in the Pacific. They have only been moved twice since being shipped to the US. Cabinets are in very good condition. No major scratches or dings. The 1200's and one pair of 3500's are in their original boxes. One pair of 3500's do not have boxes.

I have paid that for the SP-3500 from ebay, but realy you can find them on CL for less $250-$300. Your not going to get ebay prices selling on CL nor should you want that, the transaction is way easyer and cheaper selling on CL. It's a really good selling point having the boxes so match that with the cleanest set. See if you have a consecutive serial # set to put with the boxes. Lastly condition is everything if they look mint you can get the higher prices if not well...

The SP-1200 I don't know much about but they are small speakers maybe $75-$125.

Lastly your location will depend on how much people will pay.

So take what some say on this site with a grain of salt as they are going by their area.

A couple years ago, I had a pair of those 2500's brand new looking, fully functional, with original boxes. I think the final price I advertised them for here at AK (BT) was $50/pair. I live in Jersey, the most densely populated state in the union. Plenty of AKers but no takers. I ended up giving them away. So yes, you'd better take what some say on this site with a grain, or maybe even a few grams of salt.
