Sanyo Q25 counterweight setting. Help!

Just picked up up a nice Sanyo Q25 table with unknown cart. Have no idea what idea to set counterweight to. Any advice is appreciated.

Looks like an Empire cartridge, can not determine model.

Probably be safe in the 1.00 - 1.50 zone until positive ID.

Thanks! That is what I was thinking...I have it sitting on 1.0 currently.

Best to replace the stylus if you're unaware how worn the stylus is. If it's worn, it will damage your records.

Definitely an Empire cartridge though. Possibly from the series that includes the 66E/X.

Empires have the model of the cartridge stenciled on the bottom but they sometimes wear off. Knowing what cartridge you have will be helpful in determining the correct stylus which that one isn't. It appears to be a 236-ZDE (S1000ZE/X). Tracking force is from 0.5 to 1.25g but I'd get the correct stylus.

It occurs to me, actually it was pointed out to me via a polite PM that I could be mistaken and the stylus may in fact be an S906E, a stylus which tracks between 1.25 and 2.5g. Pictures of the stylus only from several angles would be helpful.

And if it is indeed an S906E, 1.0g of tracking force is too low. 1.5g at minimum is called for. At that force, you should get good sound, assuming the diamond is squeaky clean and unworn. There are many Empire fans here available to help.
