I came across one and the motor needs to be oiled.

If you know how, please share the secret with the rest of us. Thank you!

I was able to clean the motor spindle and re-oil, put it back together but still I'm getting a random slow downs. I also applied DeOxit D5 to the 2 VR's inside the motor board. The slow-downs happen randomly, I can see from the strobe light, one bar will skip to the right once in a while; I can also hear it slow down a beat also.

Time for a re-cap? Any other suggestions?

Clean the speed selector switch if you haven't.

Applied DeOxit to the speed selector switch, exercised both buttons vigorously for a minute. It's still slowing down randomly for a beat.
