Hello (sob) people.
I put together a single-driver system using a pair of 3" Tang Band drivers and audiophile PVC pipe from Home Depot.
I used wool as a stuffing (thanks Grandma for the sweater).
Not much bass below 150hz....but that's why God made subwoofers isn't it?
Put on Marshall Crenshaw's 1st CD....hey it works & actually sounds good too!?
REAL LOW on the WAF though (if looks could KILL.............).
Then put on Bettye LaVette.....nice!!
That is until the right speaker started to sound like a chain saw!!!???
DAMM!!
DAMM!!
DAMM!!
Lesson learned?
More self-control on the volume knob.
These drivers are NOT designed as Woodstock-speakers.
I will pick up another driver from PE....now that I've been PROPERLY HUMBLED!!
Steve :nono:
