Show some love for recievers!

Great thread! I've yet to experience separates but as of now I really have no need too. It's always been recievers for me an I'm pretty sure it's the way it's gonna stay. First pic is my main rig , it's used on a daily basis an we do have some pretty good fm choices here in Louisville . It's the first thing I do when I walk in the door everyday is flip the switch an let her sing! The second pic is one of the three stacks I have waiting to be cleaned an refurbed to be rotated in throughout the house, with the exception of the 2235b on top . That one is used daily in our bedroom but awaiting a led upgrade.

Fun thread! I have not owned a receiver but I do enjoy looking at them! Some are just so beautiful! I'm sure they sound just as good as they look when they are in top form..

Marantz 2265B and Pioneer SX 880.

Still waiting for the Marantz to get back from the shop.
Should have it in a week or two.

The Pioneer elite sc 09 was great for home theater but to my ears not that great for 2ch listening.

Edit : found some pictures of my B&K 507s2, great receiver from B&K very good sound. Have had more if I find the pictures I will update.

There great sounding amps with lots of headroom, warm sounding for ss though so best fitted with a slightly forward /sharp speakers, but can drive just about anything and I believe it's 4ohm stable as well.

Worked long hours in '77 and '78 washing dishes to buy this - my first major purchase. It's been in retirement for many years. It endured the shame and humiliation of many years of dirt, dust, paint splatters and general neglect during this time.

Recently, it was called up again for active duty after my crap Sony surround receiver bit the dust. Feeling guilty, I treated it to thorough cleaning, installation of LED lamps and complete re-soldering of the PCBs. It still sounds as great as the day I bought it. I'm really glad the Sony crapped out.

what are those sleek wood bases you have under your recievers? Custom? Ive been searching for some risers /isolator bases for some time. Only luck I've had short of making new ones is 18x18x1 butchers block.
