Thank haven’t posted in a while so here’s my first of the new year.
One of my favorite bands, De-Phazz. They’ve been around 25 years this year. Their music is so much fun!
Video is with the Onkyo M508, Mac C34V, Magnepan MMGs, Def Tek Super Cube II. Cheers!

A belated toast!

I bought a Realistic 33-1065 stereo mic from eBay that I thought looked interesting. Will need to spend more time with it and see how it really performs. It has a kickstand but unfortunately no tripod mount, and the way the cable sticks out of the microphone has a tendency to make it lopsided.

Amazingly even though it technically requires a single AA battery to run, it'll still pick up (quiet) audio even without any battery inserted.

Try moving the mic closer to the speakers and placing a small board partition with a rag hanging over it — to isolate the left and right speaker sounds from bleeding into each other. The board is separating the woofer in half.

Last night, or I should say early this morning, I was listening to the new and last Megadeth album. I think that Dave Mustaine did a really good job on his version of Ride The Lightning. Dave’s guitar riffs & fretboard work is exceptional and the tone & sounds on the recording is really the best version of this song:

I actually did- but I found out that if I put the mic capsules any closer to the tweeters, the bass completely disappears even with the gain manually set. I don't think any of my other microphones do this since they have a broader pickup pattern.
