I just played The Bass Walk-Abraham Laboriel
and Bill Withers - Lovely Day , they both sound great.
the mid is a 6.5" woof with a frequency response of 60-8000hz
crossing at 475/3800 so I'm getting some good bass out of the mid too.

What are the crossovers for the drivers?
Okay, I'll start the ball rolling with a few I've done. The first one is a powered subwoofer in a sealed 1.30cu/Ft cabinet, utilizing a Peerless XLS SWR-308 12" woofer and a Keiga KG-5230 plate amp, which has a 4dB boost @ 25Hz. System response half-powers @ 27Hz. The cabinet was constructed out of one-inch 11-ply Baltic Birch plywood with a Pecan veneer.

Those cherry Sony clones are.... cherry. Excellent craftsmanship and veneering. Love the wavy look to the cherry veneer. I've loved doing speaker building over the years. It really brings a satisfaction to your music appreciation from creating the music makers you're listening to. A few I've cobbled over the years.
Behind the Dynaudio Gemini's MTM's I made the cabinets for is a push-pull subwoofer. My first speaker build.
My main speakers are horn augmented bass reflex design by Pi Speakers I built a couple decades back now. 15" Eminence woofer and compression tweeter CD horn lens. 98db sensitivity.
I helped a friend replace his ancient Sony bookshelf speakers he'd had since a teenager. Now in his 60's. We built another Pi speaker design called the Tower 2 Pi.
Using a 10" Eminence mid woofer and a high sensitivity dome tweeter from Vifa. They're about 95 db sensitivity. We used solid various thickness Ash wood for a sort of Art Deco appearance.

I'm refoaming a pair of Jensen Spectrum 550s. These speakers are of importance within the family. I'm trying to find blue foam surround, does anyone know where I can find some? The thread on Reddit died many moons ago.

Okay, I'll start the ball rolling with a few I've done. Klipsch series 1's new and better made cabinets with a slightly different proportions but same volume inside, brought the -6db point from 63Hz to 47.5Hz, the center is very pleasing but I don't do surround or 3 fronts. Made it to go with the regular sized but the pair of full sized sold 3 days before I finished the center. Now it sits all alone waiting for a home.i connected it to my Sunfure 300 amp (that center is a 4Ω load), ran it on one channel (around 450 to 600w) and cranked it up to max, it sounded as good as I could have hoped on.

Martin Logan mods.
This set of Martin Logan Aerius didn't sound like a completely thought out design, after a few days of considering what the issue was, I came up with the perfect fix, changed out the single 4Ω 8" woofer with 2x brand new 8Ω 8" drivers. Tested them in every mounting configuration possible and this was the best, wired out of phase and aimed inside the cab with the front woofers wired in phase with the panels. -6db point went from 73Hz to what you see in the sweep plot here.
That's a non-smoothed test result. Absolutely amazing sounding after modding.
I've modded bigger Martin Logans that had bass issues by bypassing their bad ideas with room mode corrections built in, as if each room is the same and there's a 1 fix crossover set up that takes care of them all. No way to turn it off so it gets byoassed, same bypass is used on the Aerius.
Sold my JBL L36's today but made new grills for them.
13 pieces of wood to make each frame no screws were used.
That's it for my DIY work this year so far excluding a few pairs that were cosmetically beautified.

for a superlative center channel for my ALL Vintage allison acoustics 11.2 HT system!
I want to sacrilege! mod a pair of CD -9 to highly modded horizontal Center channel speaker ( no reason, way to run them vertical in my all ALLISON 11.2 HT system! w/ regular solid screen type 92" TV
If you are using a transparent screen , projection system ? a really good center chanel solution is a vertical same as your big L & R main speakers !
The center channel is supposed to be NEEDS to be the BEST ! speaker lobing is MUCH less of an issue as the center channel is essentially MONO so we CAN use multiple mids and tweeters, and they will be close enough that any deleterious effects won't count !
WHY CD-9? the 10" woofer! the largest they used! SIZE matters! unique characteristics and don't ever forget ! the Allison woofers were just about as useful and talented in their own way as the uber special convex tweeters and mids ! the woofers were voiced differently than most went up to a higher HZ before crossover !
Ol' ROY was nobody's fool !
AND they had a greater excursion a longer throw MORE than many !
using multiple sizes of woofers in ONE speaker like 10" 8" 6"
means we can use a custom deigned crossover and have a unique high end 5 way speaker! 2 of them working in harmonious harmony ! I think ol' Roy would smile !
Why ? because we can!
and have a unique sound and as we cross to the sub @ 100Hz, these woofers are now champions of mid bass! low trebble
I'd like to get two CD9s put them on their side horizontal and reconfigure the mid and tweeters vertically and use them for my center channel speaker. they say your center channel speaker should be the BEST ! . maybe mod them to 5 way ? LOL
add 8' and 6" woofers!
would need a custom x -over made!
Most center channel are compromised to fit under a TV set and many are ONLY 2 way and have small diameter woofers ! LAME ! NOT here!
