Well McCartney was IMO the hardest rocking of the Beatles afterall. Lennon wanted to be Allen Ginsberg and McCartney wanted to be Little Richard. It's obvious to me which is the more desirable in a Rock and Roll context.
I'll be damned and go to Hell before I refer to actors and Rock and Roll stars (or anyone else) by titles of nobility, it's unfitting for Americans to do so; as an American I recognize no titles of nobility.
McCartney said: "I didn't really know who they were. They are saying how good it is to be back together. I said: 'Whoa? You guys haven't played together for all that time?'
"And somebody whispered to me: 'That's Nirvana. You're Kurt.' I couldn't believe it."
What? Is McCartney fecking senile?
Most of us here have no regard or respect for the things that other nations and cultures hold high. It's the "American Way", right?

Guys. When Paul said "I didn't really know who they were" he didn't mean NIRVANA, he meant Smear and Novoselic. He obviously knows Grohl from previously playing with him; he just didn't recognize the other members of the band. Not a crime, considering most people can only name Cobain and Grohl. Geez.
And their collab sounded pretty good.
Shades of 'Helter-Skelter' with a certain grunge sensibility. Not bad for a one-off. :thmbsp:And their collab sounded pretty good.
Wow. Watching Springsteen at the Sandy concert. Am I the only one who just finds him exhausting to listen to? Full throttle vocals that are always at the top of his range just kills any melody in the songs. I had to switch the channel.
